Hello Does anyone have experience with borrowing licenses and does it work for you? I have trouble borrowing a license for more than a day. Any help or thoughts appreciated. Cheers Nick

Hello
I have the license server on my laptop. When I leave the office for a few days I would like to leave the license behind on the desktop for others to use. The trouble is that when I am 2,000 km away I get a phone call saying that there is an error messages on the desktop stating that there are not enough licenses. Not much can be done until I return to plug my laptop into the network. Maybe I will have to set up a VPN? Have you any problems? Do you use this feature? Cheers Nick |

Hi unas and Nick,
I cannot really tell what's wrong with your borrowing. Does it work when you borrowed it then unplug the notebook from the network and then try if it runs a few times? Or is it always after 24h? Boris |

It was always after 24hour but I think it happens because of the firewall settings of my virus program. Last week I borrowed license again. The day after trial version of my virus program ended and it still runs.

Yes, it is hard to tell but this might one problem. Often it is something network related with the licensing.
What could also help to identify it is not switching off the computer over the night and if it still works the next day IT might have some idea if some reset of services is done at each boot or system is cleaned or anything like that. Something that makes him forget tha liceses should be borrowed. Or try to let FloEFD run over night, not calculate but simply the program open and check if it works the next day by running a small example or close and start it again and see if it still works.
