Turbine model in Flow-3D?

Hello all.

I would like to incorporate effects from a propeller in my Flow-3D model as a velocity/momentum source. This is traditionally done using a simple actuator disk model. My thinking was to build an .stl disk geometry and specify it as a baffle. However, I do not want the baffle to be a momentum sink, but rather a momentum source. Does anybody know how to do this?

Cheers!

What you want is a 'fan/impeller' component, which will be a 3-D cylindrical region that imparts momentum (including spin) to the flow. See the User Manual for details of how to set it up. Try searching the manual for fan or impeller.

Thanks Jeff, I'll give that a try.
