Why don't you use mid-range 3D CAD S/Ws?

Hi, buddy.

You can make easy the STL file from such mid-range 3D CAD S/W as Solid Edge V20.

It's very easy for use. First, draw the spillway structure as 3D solid. Second, export the solid as STL file format. It's over.

If you visit "http://cometrue.kr/30", you can see a project of mine. And if you need for help, send me e-mail with drawing of spillway(include weir).

Effective Way of Mesh Generating...

FLOW-3D includes a me

Re: Effective Way of Mesh Generating...

FLOW-3D includes a mesh generator, supports easy interface after version 9.0. (WYSIWYG, I think so...)

From my experience, I think inputting many fixed grid points(each breakpoint of geometry) is more effective way than increasing the resolution of grid, and avoid multi-block grid as much as possible.

I understood the mean of effectivity as only view point of solving time.
