How did I output discharge data ?

Dear Flow-3d expert :

I simulated a channel in flow-3d. I want to see discharge data at the last cross-section. How did I set in flow-3d ?

I can see the mesh depended history data of right, left, front, and back boundary fluid 1 volume flow rate in '' Analize->Probe->Mesh depended history->Text(Graphical) "'. Were that discharge data? I am confused .

Thanks your help, regards.

Flow rate is another name. :-)

Thanks for Ghirghidov.
So you mean that volume flow rate is not discharge data, didn't it ?

Ghirghidov May 25, 2009 08:18

I mean volume flow rate is discharge data for border.

Ok, I see.

Then, do you know how can I output discharge data at last cross-section ?

Because, governing equations don't have "flow rate term".

I have an idea that output velocity data. Then velocity multiply to mesh area that is volume flow rate. How did you think ?

If the boundary volume flow rate is not enough you are right (IMHO you have to exclude solid parts from the mesh area but sometimes it's quite difficult)
