stl error

I see this error when I want to preview. i use version 8.4

level 1 eroor in subroutine rdstl:
i/o erroe while opening stl data file

Hi~
There is freeware to check stls it is called ADMESH. Try using that. It could also be a bug since you are using an older version.

you can try with this way.You should know when you save the stl file, the file format must be:"any name"nn.stl. be careful nn are numbers with special meaning for F3D. you save stl file with this name in your favorite directory: stl01.stl

I thinke that your stl file have a problem.why do you creat stl file with cad? you can try it.I always do it.
