Hi

I want to model an elastic rod spinning in fluid. But in flow 3d, it seems not possible to include both gmo and elastic model, is there a way out?

thanks

You can't model elastic deformations in moving (or stationary) geometry components in FLOW-3D, if this is your intention. If you want to model elastic stress in the fluid, that is probably possible with GMO model, but I am not sure the stresses are included in the equation of motion of GMO components.

Hi thanks for your reply. Do you recommend any similar CFD software for this?
