2 phases, 2 species, density incorrect

I am modeling a 2 phase flow with the primary phase having one specie (water), and the secondary phase having two species (water and salt). When I monitor density during the simulation, I find that the density of the primary phase region (only water) is correct, whereas the density of the secondary phase region (water + salt) is very low. Of course, I would expect the secondary phase to be denser than the primary phase, any idea of why this may be happening? Thanks in advance.
