mixing two liquid
hi my friends
i try to modelling the static mixer in fluent that mixed two liquids with the different density, the problem is 3D. how do i do it? what do i use the model viscous? k- epsilon or k-omega or reynolds stress or detached eddy simulation?? what do i use the model viscous? VOF or mixture or aulerian? |
-If your fluids are continuous and are interpenetrating each other and could separate then use the full eulerian approach. If they tends to separate then VOF> Please reply upon this or whether one fluid is injected as dispersed particles into the existing fluid.
-I assume that your flow is turbulent you can start using the k-epsilon model with enhanced wall treatment (as first instance) -Enable gravity and give the density of your lightest phase as the reference one -Start first of all doing some tutorials in multiphase and turbulence |

you mean i should use the aulerian method? one of the liquids is water and the other liquids is the condensate product with 735 kg/m^3 density. in this static mixer i try to full mixing within liquids. the water with 3.75 kg/s and the condensate product with 20 kg/s enter the mixer that is the pipe with internal blade for mixing and the mixer size is 1500mm. the problem is 3d and i have problem with mesh this. please help me to find doing some tutorials in multiphase and turbulence |
