Hi everybody
I simulate the multiphase flow (resin and air) in blade
(my problem) In run of Fluent, residual of Continuity equation is (approximately) constant.
I dont know this reason(in my run no reverse flow,no error and resin is infusion correctly)

please help

Hi,

Do you mean the residual continuity equation won't converge?
if so, try to reduce the explicit relaxation factors under solution control. Default is 0.75 and in my case (simple rtm simulation in flat plate) reducing it to 0.55 made the simulation converge.

With kind regards,
Jeroen

I'm not that experienced with cfd simulations, but it does look ok to me.. What should it do according to you?

infusion in the my case is slowly,I think slowly infusion is the
reason of continuity

In your case (simple rtm simulation in flat plate), what is viscous resistance in fluent?

i'm using 5e8 for the viscous resistance. In the comming weeks I'm going to do some experiments to define the permeability of the fabric I'm going to use.

Hi
My lay up and glass fiber are different(
Combination of 0-90 , 45-45 glass fiber and core material)
what is your method in your experiment(to obtain viscous resistance)?
Have you any paper in about viscous resistance of glass fiber?

Thank you for your attention

Hi,

I think I wil go for the radial permeability test, but I'm not completely sure about that yet...

Below there ar a few papers about rtm and permeability of fibers:

With kind regards,
Jeroen
