Two Fluids air and mixture
Hello,
I'm trying to simulate a object with two entries, the first one only air and the second one mixture (CH4 and H2S). How can I do this? I wanna set a velocity inlet to inlet 1 (air) and set a velocity inlet to inlet 2 (mixture). Thanks |

In creating model you need to draw two inlets and then naming them 8 mesh inlet 1 ,2
And in fluent specify velocity inlet |
inlet BC's
hey guys,
I am having the same problem. I already have 2 inlets created and meshed. My problem is that when I select "Air" for the first inlet, the other one changes from "mixture" to "Air" aswell. The same thing happens the other way around. What's going on? |
Me too facing the same problem in ansys fluent.
Have you found any solution yet? In Star-CCM+, we select fluids and the volume fraction of individual phase / fluid appears under the boundaries. |
If it's a multiphase problem, you specify the conditions for each phase at the boundary. You do this by selecting each phase under the "Phase" dialog box in the boundary conditions panel. That way you can specify the velocity (or mass flow) for each phase at the two inlets.
This problem sounds like it could be more of a species transport problem than a multiphase problem -- if you use the species transport model, you specify the mass weighting of each phase at the boundary using the species tab for the boundary. Pretty sure that's explained clearly in the manual. |
