3 fluids in fluent

1 Attachment(s)
I have three fluids Liquid nitrogen, water and air in my 2D simulation.
I use the VOF model with implicit body formulation. This is similar to dam break simulation tutorial in fluent. There are 4 BC defined. Top pressure outlet, other as wall with no slip. each region is patched. Air is set as primary phase and Liquid nitrogen and water as secondary phase with volume fraction defined as 1 for each. When I run the simulation, the liquid nitrogen reservoir does not break. I am not able to find the reason. Any ideas as to why the dam doesnt break?

Hi
Don't define three different region on DesignModeler
The use of patch are sufficient

While using VOF model,as you Initialize your solution ,you can use adapt region ,to define your 3 fluids region and patch it directly in fluent, you don't have to do it in designmodeler
good luck

my advice is to use eulerian it's more accurate for three phases
