Dear Fellow,

I am working on the prediction of fluid flow in curved pipe. I am new to Fluent software. But i am confused that my navier stokes equation used the toroidal coordinates. But I dont know whether I can enter my own equation or how Fluent is gona handle this geometry, please nay help regarding this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

regards,
Saqib

Dear Saqib,

You don't have to bother on how you will introduce the Navier-Stokes equations and if they have to described in cylindrical or toroidal or cartesian coordinates, etc. At first you can just follow the instructions of the 1st Fluent tutorial "modelling turbulence and heat transfer on mixing elbow" and use your geometry-mesh-boundary conditions, etc. The introduction of the conservation equations that mathematically describe the flow is applied on Step 2.Define Models.
The mathematical flow models are analytically described within the fluent manual.
