Hi all kindly inform me how to generate prePDF preprocessor file for Modeling Non-Premixed Combustion in FLUENT (ANSYS 12).I need the answer of the same post written below.
This was already posted on this forum-->I'm new to Fluent and trying to follow a tutorial of "Non-Premixed Combustion Model" that instructs to "Start prePDF" as its first step. But, I don't even know how to do that. I mean, I didn't find any prePDF software after installing my Fluent 6.1 package. Could you please tell me how I can start prePDF preprocessor to creat a prePDF file!? Is it already installed now? or I have to install it separately?I don't know where to find prePDF preprocessor. I have both Fluent 6.1 and 6.3.26 source files, but neither has prePDF. Besides, when I try to make PDF files using the built-in PDF table creator of Fluent 6.3 (Define> Models> Species> Transport & Reactions), I can't find many of the options equivalent to those of prePDF preprocessor, which are addressed by the tutorials I'm following.
plz help

In ANSYS FLUENT v12 You don't need to "...Start prePDF". You can calculate Your PDF Table, when You choose Non-Premixed Combustion (not Species Transport).

Thank you
When you turn on NON-PREMIXED COMBUSTION in SPECIES MODEL you can use PDF TABLE CREATION Panels for creating Your PDF Table (see attached file below)
PDF Table Creation.jpg

When You create PDF Table on this way, You can save it on File/Write/PDF...
This PDF file could be used for other cases, too. You don't need to calculated every time (off course if you use same settings for Your PDF Table)

PrePDF is integrated in Fluent 6.3, and it's active when you choose NON-PREMIXED Combustion model!
