6 DOF UDF touch wall
I'm simulating a particle in a tube with a flow using 6 DOF UDF. The problem I've got is that Fluent gives me an error (negative cell found) when this rigid particle touches the wall of the tube. I don't know if there is any solution. Thanks

And if I define two different rigid particles, if I will get the same error when they touch each other.

Hi mate,
As far as I know Fluent can not model strike of two walls with 6DoF.
You see, this process is rather mechanical.

Thanks for your answer.

Just say that I don't want to smash a particle against a wall, I've got a curve pipe and I want to see how particles with different shapes behave. Is not possible with fluent? When the particle touches the wall I get always the error.

Thanks again mate

I have already tried what you want but it seems impossible with fluent.

Same situation, different question
I want to simulate a similar case that a particle float in a vertical tube. The solver can give right pressure contour map if the dynamic mesh is off while pressure will be a mess if it is on. That is to say, with wrong pressure, buoyancy cannot be true.
I hope to hear from you, Thank you!
