Please help with this simple UDF

I need to create a UDF for a dynamic mesh with simple motion.

All i need to do is simulate a solid moving up in the y-direction.

Surely this cannot be hard?
Where do i get started?

There is absolutely NO guide to writing UDFs. Hooking them, compiling them etc. appears very easy but actually WRITING the thing seems to be a well kept secret.

How do i do this?

Thank you.

UDF Manual

Sorry if it is obvious or if it doesn't help, but you might want to look at the Fluent 14 UDF Manual. It has good examples and it has some parts about dynamic mesh. You can access it here.

Ive seen this before and it isnt much help for an absolute beginner. It doesnt break down the example enough and its far too confusing. Thank you though i do appreciate it.
