Reloading/Rebuilding Compiled UDFs after Code Changes
 

Hello!

I'm currently compiling UDFs with the help of MSVS 2010 and every time I make some code modification I need to close and reopen Ansys Fluent.

When I was "interpreting" the UDFs I pressed the "Interpret" button on the "Interpreted UDFs" panel after i changed the code in the MSVS 2010 window.

It's boring and a completely wast of time close/reopen the software. Can someone enlighten me on this?

I don't know if it is the smartest way, but what I do:
Go to Define->User-defined->Function->Manage
Select your compiled library (by default libudf), and unload it.
Then you can recompile and load it again.

That's exactly what I'm doing right now. A waste tons of time in this process.

I think there's a quicker way to do it...

If this is exactly what you are doing, then I don't understand your first description, because there you said that you closed and reopened Fluent. In my process, you don't close and reopen Fluent.

Yes, I was closing and reopening Fluent.

I discovered your way some moments after the creation of this thread, but I still think there's a quicker way.

Anyway, thanks for helping me out. :)

Let's hope someone reply a better way than ours.
