NV_S(omega,=,0.0); is equivalent to: omega[0] = 0.0; omega[1] = 0.0; omega[2] = 0.0;
NV_D(axis,=,0.0,1.0,0.0); is equivalent to: axis[0] = 0.0; axis[1] = 1.0; axis[2] = 0.0;
