How to get the solution of last time step?
Hi, here I have an intractable problem.
Now, I want to get the solution of last time step during the transient calculation. More detailedly, when the solution has been updated to that at time t+dt, however, I want to re-initialize the current solution by that at time t, i.e. get the solution of last time step. This can be done by saving the solution of last time step in the hard disk, and then re-read it again from the hard disk. But, this strategy not only wastes much time for the process of writing to and reading data from hard disk, but also impose damage on the hard disk for the same reason. One alternative to this strategy is just saving the data in memory and reading it again. However, can it be done in Fluent by UDF? If not, is there a method provided by Fluent to re-initialize the current solution by that of last time step without writing and reading data through hard disk?
