Display boundary condition defined by UDFs

Hi Everyone,

I have problem this Fluent software.
Because my boundary condition was defined by UDFs (parabolic profile velocity), I want to check accuracy it by interface graphic.
How can I display it in the interface graphic of Fluent?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
if your case is 2D, then your boundaries are lines, then from plot menu you can write data and check them.
else for 3D cases, create a line over your boundary and follow above.

Hi Amir,

Thanks for your help.
According to your instruction, I think that we only write data in the defined boundary condition when the solution is solving, isn't it?
But I want to check this condition before we run the solution.
Do you have other idea for this problem?

Thanks.

it doesn't need that your problem converged! you set boundary condition, so after some iteration you can stop solving and check.

Hi Amir,

That is good idea. I used this way to check accuracy boundary condition. But I faced new problem.
Firstly, I ran some iteration and stopped it. Then I checked by display contour plot at inlet boundary. In this case, I can see that the boundary condition distributed parabolic profile.
If I checked by display vector plot, the vector distribution is the same.
What is some thing wrong at there?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,
that's right, probably because vectors belong to cell centers adjacent to boundary were solution didn't converge yet.
as I said before, the best way is to use plot menu, for 2d case plot velocity along boundary and in 3D case, make a line over that and follow above.

meshing in Gambit

I want 2 know "How 2 define the ratio in gambit meshing?". Also, The First length, last length definations are....

@ Geth:
!!!
the ratio is defined as the length of an element to adjacent previous.
