I've written a UDF for the heterogeneous gas-char reaction rates with the function DEFINE_PR_RATE, which includes an auxiliary function zbrent_pr_rate, because there is no analytical solution for my equation.

But zbrent_pr_rate seems out of work, since this auxiliary function returns are never zero but "ifail" still equals to FALSE, really weird

I can't find any concrete explanations for this function in Fluent help.Is there anyone have relevant experience of this function? Thanks in advance!
