udf compilation problems since upgrading

I've recently switched from Fluent 6.3 to 13
when i try to run a udf fluent returns the following: fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'stdio.h': Invalid argument can anyone help? |

if VC++ wasn't linked, wouldn't i get a "nmake is not recognized" sort of message?
