Hey everyone,

I'm very new to using FLUENT and as a final year project at university I'm studying how well CFD can emulate the ground effect on a simple NACA0012 with varying angles of attack and ride height.

When setting up the case and data in fluent I've set the Cl and Cd to print to console but I've got no idea how to get them back out, can anyone help me with this?

Thanks,
Jake

Jake,

Use the write option. It is accessible in the GUI options where you setup the drag and lift monitors, just underneath the print and plot options. It will write the results to a text file after each iteration. You might need to give the file name a .txt ending so help windows recognize the file extension..

If you don't have GUI, it should have been prompted on the TUI when you setup the the monitors.
