Hi

I want to plot average velocity against iteration in FLUENT. Can anyone help me?
Thanks.

This is a very basic task. Anyone should be able to do this or figure it out on their own. In any case,

What exactly are you trying to plot?

You just need to create a monitor and choose average velocity (choose the appropriate weighting scheme, area-weighted average or mass-weighted average). If you are trying to plot velocity at a point, then create a point monitor. If you are trying to calculate average velocity over a plane then create a plane monitor.

Then tell the minotor to print to console or plot to window as you like. It plots everything vs iteration by default. You can even output to file.

Thanks!

Is there any way to plot with radial position(r/R) as the x-axis? like averaged gas holdup vs radial position.

Thanks in advance!

You realize that you cannot plot vs iteration and vs r at the same time?
How would you define r? Fluent works in x,y,z.

Depending on how you want to visualize your results, you will need to setup the post-processing either in Fluent or in whatever program you use to visualize. You need to define r and then plot against r. You need to decide how you're going to do this, it can be done in many ways.

Is there any way to calculate the average of the monitored parameter by iteration?

I have a oscillating solution and I want to use the average value in a period of iteration.

Cheers
