Hi all

I am doing simulation on the air flow distribution in the building. I wan to ask should I use steady or transient to run the simulation. thanks

Hi, this a question best answered by yourself. No one can answer this for you.

Do you expect there to be flow to exhibit transient features? i.e. macroscopic changes in flow behaviour in time? If so then do transient.

If you only care about steady state flow behavior then do steady. If you don't know what you're doing, also do steady.

A steady simulation is always a good start... once it has converged, one can decide wether to go transient, fix boundary conditions etc
