I've had this happen to me many times in many different contexts. It is an error unique to Parallel fluent like you described. Most of the time it has to do with the MPI or parallel license distribution. Have you tried a simple reboot?

Are you able to iterate at all or does it start iterating and then quit after a few iterations? Usually I get this error if, the license server becomes disconnected after Fluent launches.

I've had this happen to me only when the FLUENT exit, but
in Windows xp 32bit environment, fluent works fine!

This could be the issue of not installing MPI as a setup of ANSYS 14. The error you mentioned often comes due to the less memory. Please make suer that you have enough disk space and memory to run FLuent.
