how to define the velocity of coal when using DPM in modeling coal gasification?

Hello, everybody. I am confused about one issue in modeling coal gasification,
How do you set the velocity of coal particle in DPM injection?
Is it supposed to be equal to the gas velocity?
I hope anybody can tell me what should I do?
