How to connect interface between 2 parts in Ansys Meshing.
Hello, everbody. I've a question. I've constructed two parts sharing a interface. When meshing, I want the nodes on the interface (belong to these two parts) are consistent. But it seems the interface become two faces and they have different nodes. Therefore, when the mesh is imported to Fluent, a new BC, named "wall-solid" appears. What do I need to do to avoid make these interfaces consistency?

If I understand correctly, you have two parts and trying to mesh in Ansys Work bench. Well, if that is the case then it very easy to do. In ansys workbench you put both the parts in 1 from FORMPART, then ansys would maintain the connectivity between the two surfaces. If you don't want to do that then you define grid interface in fluent to comminucate information.

Thanks a lot. The problem is solved.

I am using Ansys 18.1 v. In my fluid domain, there are two parts. If i merge these two then i couldnt able to get sweepable mesh. However, when they are split, i am able to get good mesh but the nodes are not merged. How can I make them connected to each other either in Mesh itself or Fluent. |
