Turbulence Models

Hello!

Can I use two turbulence models in the one domain?

No. Not possible.

SST is combination of two models : K-Epsilon and K-omega, but only limited to core flow and boundary layer respectively.

Thanks. it is a pity. I can't use SST model to model flow with combustion.

However you can choose DES or DDES model. Also you can go for Embedded LES (E-LES)

Hi,

Why can't you use SST for combustion? I'm about to start my turbulent combustion modeling, I'm in the process of choosing my model. And if I start Fluent and I choose the k-w SST turbulence model, most of combustion models are still available (from a quick look).

I'm probably missing something... can you please to enlighten me?

I think I was wrong. I have the out-dated information that combustion models need the epsilon-equation but not omega-equation. But as was found I can use SST model with combustion.
