Drag & lift coefficients for a velocity inlet BC

1 Attachment(s)
Hi everybody,

I have a circular wall with a velocity inlet boundary condition to input a particular velocity on it.

But now I need the drag (and the lift) coefficient.

Is anyone have an idea to take it or to calculate it ? I need to plot it.

I join a picture with stream lines to give an idea about the flow...
Thanks !!!

Any idea ?

Otherwise, is someone have a method to calculate the Drag force ?
With a custom field function for example ??

go to

Report>result reports>reports>forces

here u can calculate

or u can also monitor them

solve>monitor>Drag or life

cheers

the boundary condition is a velocity inlet

Yes I know this way, but I change the boundary condition to a velocity inlet,
so there is no wall in the window to choose, and so I have to find an other way.

hmmm ... no idea.

because for me, if their is no wall then their should be no drag of lift force.
try to generate two curves and take the pressure difference and calculate the coefficient manually
