Generating shockwave underwater

Hey guys,

I'm trying to do a simulation where I generate a shockwave underwater. I want to generate a shockwave at a certain point and see how it interacts with a surface.

Whats the best way to do this??

I'm thinking about creating two domains. One will be a small cirlce around the selected coordinate point. The other domain will be a big square enclosing the circle.
Then I'm thinking about defining a region of air inside the circle???

I"m really lost on this one. Please give me some guidance.

mmm..I think you can create the shockwave with a moving wall..
You can use dynamic mesh and moving a wall to create the shock wave.
Remember to include water comprimibility and sound speed through udf; you can copy directly from udf manual available online.
I have successfully simulated an ultrasound cleaning bath with moving wall+sound speed+comprimibility, to see sound waves propagation.
