rambex001 is on a distinguished road
Hallo everybody,

I have a question concerning the absorption coefficient and the DO-Model in fluent. I tried to simulate a flat plate solar panel. For the semi-transparent glass cover I can calculate the absorption coefficient with the Lambert-Beer law, the next layer is air and here I set the absorption coefficient to 0.
My problem is now to determine the absorption coefficient of the absorber. I know the absorptivity (95%) and the reflectivity (5%) and the thickness from 1,5 mm, but how can I implement this correctly in the material properties where the absorption coefficient, scattering coefficient and the refractive index is needed?

I hope that there is someone out there who can help me.
Many thanks
Alexander
