Solition Animation Playback Fluent
 
Hello!
I have the next problem:

My research is VOF multiphase model. Calculation is ok, and I have realistic results. But I'm not satisfied with the animation, that i have like results. The Volume of air painted blue (or other color) and it isn't transperet so i can see water motion just on surfaces.

Help, guys, if someone know. I chould get animation like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNme-gED5P4

I didn't understand your question very well. What do you intend to show?
I see only the iso-surface in the animation you sent. Would you like to show the volume fraction like a volume (or closed surface) like the attached picture?

Yes! This picture is better! How can i make an animation or single picture like this in fluent.

You have to define the following:
1) iso-surface equal to the volume fraction of the phase of interest;
2) create an iso-clip of volume fraction (from 0,5 to 1,0, for example) attached to all the surfaces of your domain;
3) plot both.

You may adjust the colors through the Scene panel as well.

In step 2, if you want, you may first create a single surface from your entire domain (I think it is in the Zone panel). It is easier for creating the iso-clip.

Thanks! It's very usefull information and i've got surfaces of my interest. Could you tell me, how to make a closed surface or valume painted on picture you sent? And I have a question about valume fraction : if my domain filled to half with primary phase on first timestep, what volume fraction will be equal? Is it 0.5 ?

Actually you will have volume fraction values from 0 to 1.0, since you will have a gradient due to mesh (unless if you have a very fine mesh so the interface will be pretty sharp).

Following the previous procedure I sent you, you may obtain a picture similar to that one.

Commom sense is to set the iso-surface as 0.5 for the volume fraction of liquid. In that picture, it is the lighter green surface.

The iso-clip (you will have to define a range) should be from 0.5 to 1.0 for the volume fraction of liquid. So the "role" of the iso-clip will be to show the "wetted surfaces" of your domain. It will be the darker green in the picture.

The two entities together will define a closed surface, similar to a volume.
