Hi,

I'm trying to model a fire inside a room of 5*5*5 (m) with a fire source of 0.1*0.1*0.1 m bottom center of the room. how do I simulate the fire to find the heat distribution in the domain. what should be the boundary conditions that I should define. please let me know the procedure.

Thanks in advance

The easiest solution would be to model the fire as an energy source.

Can you elaborate the procedure.

Am I right assuming that you have very little experience with CFD in general and with Fluent?

In this case, I strongly recommend you do some of the basic tutorials first.
I will not explain the whole setup procedure since it would simply take too long and never be complete.

The third tutorial Chapter 3: Introduction to Using ANSYS FLUENT: Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer in a Mixing Elbow

provides almost all the techniques you need for setting up your case.

I think my case is different from tutorial which you are describing.

The case is not the mixing of same fluid at different temperatures and to find the heat characteristics of the mixing fluid.

My case is related to combustion and species Transport where it can be any two combustive fluid like kerosene-air, diesel-air (as mentioned in Fluent database).

I Have created a model and working on it with various B.C's. Till now I couldn't simulate a fire.

If I could simulate the profile of fire the temperature of core is same as outside temperature. If I could simulate the temperature the location of the fire is not at the exact location.

Find My model in attachments. Please help me in this case.

So you want to simulate a combustion process?

Sorry but I misunderstood until now. I have no working knowledge about combustion modeling.
