Dear all,
I am new user of fluent, even though I have worked a lot in CFX, it is very "uncofortable" for me working in fluent.. But I have seen that fluent has some tools that give you more control over the simulation.
The problem is that I want to get the Reynolds number of the domain. In CFX, in the report, you can read the global propierties such as Reynodls and it gives other important propierties information.
The reynolds number is calcualted using the volume as the Lenght charasterisitc, but in fluent i have just read the reynodls cell number, and it is not helpfull for me...

I need to know the Reynolds number in the domain...
Do you have any information?

A "Reynolds number" based on the cube root of the volume of the computational domain is rather pointless.

If CFX computes a value like this, well that is just one more reason to change to fluent

if you didn't find a, let's say, correct way to get reynolds number, maybe you should try "L'acochambré" methods....

what i'm saying is, find what you need (average velocity, rho and so on) and than you can calculate yourself!
