symmetry fluid domain

hye, guys.
i'm confused when we use the symmetry tool in design modular. If my fluid domain is half symmetry, how do i calculate the hydraulic diameter (4*a/p) for the inlet velocity?

should i calculate the full fluid domain? or the half-cut domain?
