Hi,
I am trying to perform a 2D model of a VAWT. I have a moving mesh around the blades, a static mesh elsewhere, and an interface between the two meshes. After a flow time of approx. 2.2 seconds I am seeing some strange behaviour (see first screenshot). The inflowing air does not appear to be entering the moving mesh. From a closer inspection it appears that the wall which have been created from the interface are forcing the air to move with them (2nd screenshot). These walls are no-slip (by default) but I was under the impression that I did not have to modify walls which are created by FLUENT from an interface. Another analysis with only a different tip speed ratio does not have the same problem. Can anyone tell me what is going from here? Thanks Alex |

I have created an interface between the two zones. FLUENT created two no slip walls as part of the interface creation though
