Total Pressure BC or Porous Media?

Hello all,

I am doing research in generating total pressure distortion for use in jet engine testing. I want to model how a total pressure profile will mix downstream of a screen prior to being ingested in an engine. In order to create the total pressure profile, am I better off just making an inlet with the assigned total pressure profile, or should I make a uniform inlet and a porous media or something downstream of it that will model the creation of the total pressure profile?

Thanks,

Kevin
