contours at different cross-sections

Hi Dears

1.How can I get the contours at different cross-sections for a 3-D curvature?

2.Which mesh should I use to have the contours preciser and clear?

Thanks

hi,

is think somehwere in the display->views menu there is a 'overlay' option that you can click.
basically it works like this:
- create two faces for which you want to have the contours displayed
-display the contour on the first face
- enable overlay in the views menu
- display the second contour

now you have two contours in one picture that you can export. if you need the grid to be displayed as well, you should do this first before overlaying.

regards

Thank s lot Dear Martin
So you mean that I should create my geometry in Gambit again included the faces which the contours are needed?

hi,

no, you dont have to go all the way pack. you can create the faces inside of fluent.

have a look in the 'surface' menu. there you can create faces (2D) or planes (3D) anywhere in the domain.
