On what basis does one decide to reduce the value of which URF in Fluent for eg when using k epsilon should i resude trubulence or the dissipation rate or another parameter or the value of the equation which is diverging in the residuals .
Also how does this affect my results |

Reduce the urf for the equation that is blowing up. But due to non-linear coupling, the variable that is currently blowing up might not be the true culprit (cause vs effect).
Ordinarily it shouldn't affect the final result and only means you need to iterate longer. But due to non-linearities and non-linear coupling, you never know. The solution of non-linear systems is not-so-linear. |
