hi i need to simulate flow over canard wing and horizontal tail using LES, unfortunately when i run calculations continuity residuals are starting going up and down after 100 iterations what i have to do, i think that problem is in my mesh, it is automaticly generated because i'm new in CFD and i dont know how it should look like for my cause. plz help. my email: koku@onet.eu

Trying to set up a LES calculation as a beginner in CFD is quite ambitious, to say the least.
The only textbook about LES I know suitable for beginners is in german. But i am sure you will find something similar in english language. As far as your specific question is concerned: the mesh is only one of the many issues which have to be dealt with carefully in a LES. |

thx for reply flotus1 , its not my idea, my promoter told me to do LES simulations to my thesis. he is not even a beginner... unfortunately i dont know german ;/ , one more question, what is difference between structural and nonstructural mesh, calculating time? results?
