operating density

Hi,
Is there anyone that can explane for me how do fluent use operating density?
what is the influence of operating density?

operating density

hi, maybe in your case and so many others it is unused but in some especial cases it is used.e.g. to calculate the drag or lift coeff(consider a blade in wind tunnel), or boyancy force it has sever influence on results.

hi misagh,
If I use the VOF and solidfication and melt model, and there are two phases which are the ideal air(primary phase)and the steel (second phase). If I want to consider the boyancy force, which is the operation density, the air or the steel ?
ps: If I want to consider the buoyancy force, what is the operation temperature if the Boussinesq Model is used, the temperature of air, or the solidification temperature of the steel or the liquid temperature of the steel ?
thank you

Hi misagh,
Thanks for your reply. My case is multiphase & vof

dear fangdian, since the buoyancy is related to the fluid the density of air should be considered.
about the tempereture actually i am not sure, don't wanna make you confused. you'd better make a new threat.
best regards

dear misagh,
Thank you very much for my question. You are kind-hearted. I will make a new threat.
