2d to 3d mapping of results in fluent
Dear fluent users,

I am desperately trying to map a result obtained with RANS turbulence model in a 2D geometry to a 3D geometry (where I have LES results to be used as a reference).

The purpose of it is obvious: to be able to compare both results quantitatively.

I must confess I am finding it more difficult than I expect, as this must be a fairly frequent task among users.

I know it must be very straigthforward and it must be my ignorance in Fluent, as I am more used to OpenFOAM, where I must say it is damn easy to do.

So anyone can tell me how to map 2d results to a 3d mesh (with say, some other results)? Note, the meshes are exactly equal in the xy plane.

Thanks a lot for any comment
