confused with the coupled VOF and species transport model
Hi all. I’d like to solve the following problem:
1- Simulate the free-surface turbulent flow in stirred tanks. 2- Primary phase is air. 3-Secondary phase is a mixture of two material: water and scalar tracer. 4- water and scalar tracer (secondary phase) are penetrated together. Therfore they can be considered as transport ones and then they can be modeled as species phenomena by considering a concentration equation. 5- Hence, concentration equation must be solved in secondary phase only. Question: I employed the VOF model and species transport model in FLUENT 13.0 to simulate this problem, but only the volume fractions of air and water were solved, and no mass or volume fraction was solved. I'd be appreciated if everybody help me know what’s the reason and what should I do. :( |
