Acoustic simulation of axial fan
I am doing acoustic analysis on a axial flow fan using Fluent V6. I am using broadband noise souce acoustic model for a steady state analysis. Since it gives me acoustic sound power contour on blade it gives me some good understanding eventhough the accuracy is less than FW-H model. But I need to understand how this sound power is related to turbulence terms like turbulent kinetic energy,turbulence disspation and wall shear. I found the equation which fluent is using for calculating acoustic sound power but the derivation is not complete. The correlation of sound power with turbulence terms is not clearly mention there.I have the attached the pic of the derivation. Can anyone help me out in understanding?
