How to not overwrite drag and lift coefficients after a simulation

Hello,

I have to do iterative simulations with ANSYS FLUENT 19 in order to compute drag and lift coefficients.
FLUENT saves them in two text files inside the folder of the project ( path: ...>> dp0 >> FFF >> Fluent >> ... ).
I wrote a journal file in order to do simulations (one after another)
changing automatically boundary conditions.

My issue is:

Before one simulation, I have to do the "inizialization". However, when I do it the text files filled with drag and lift coefficients data are overwritten with the new ones.

Is there a way to not overwrite text file with the "inizializiation"?

or

Are there other ways to can save the drag and lift coefficient?

You have the option to not overwrite, but that doesn't serve any purpose.

The only way natively inside Fluent is to rename the file which you can do by changing the name of the report in the journal file also.

It's better to do this at a higher level, like part of your optimization process and not try to do it in Fluent. Reason is Fluent has no idea what you plan to do with the information, it just outputs it the way you tell it to.
