The effect of setting parameters on the roll type flow
 
Hello every one,

Hope you are all doing great. I have a question. Actually I am evaluating the effect of the setting parameters (pressure, temperature, velocity and viscosity) on the flow behavior( for instanced longitudinal and transversal roll). For instance, I saw that when I increased the velocity in Ansys Fluent, the roll type flow appeared, but when I increased the pressure the change on the flow pattern was very intangible( minor). Actually all of my result comes from my observation. For example, by looking at the vectors, I figured out the pressure did no have much effect on the flow behavior. Because I did not see much change. My question is that is it any other criteria other than observation of the vectors? Would you please give me some suggestion?

Dear Sahar,

It seems that you are newbye in CFD!! There are some parameters which should be checked such as: shear stress at the wall, pressure distribution along the pipe, average velocity or core velocity along the pipe, heat flux at the wall (if energy is solved), y+ value along the wall (if flow is turbulent) and so on.
