 February 18, 2013, 07:55 velocity profiles #1 Member   amine Join Date: Jun 2012 Posts: 61 Rep Power: 5 Hello CFD F riends, i am simulating natural convection in square cavity(2D) using Fluent 6.3 i d like to ask you how to draw the velocities profiles(in x direction and y direction) at the mid-width and mid-height of the cavity in order to get the maximal velocity for both x and y directions and theirs positions please make me kown have a nice day

if you want to draw velocity profiles along the lines in x and y direction on the mid plane of the cavity , just create lines using points and plot velcoity along them.(or) Create a mid plane, and plot a velocity contour and see the max velocity

 February 19, 2013, 10:34 #4 Senior Member     Khalid Baker Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: IRAQ Posts: 118 Rep Power: 8 Do this simply in FLUENT you can draw a line/rake at middle length (x=L/2) and choose y=0 to y=H then plot your profile along it. Did you solve a lid-driven cavity problem?
