Hi,

I am trying to generate a 2D geometry in fluent in which there is a obstruction placed in front of the pipe the figure attached i have tryed the usual workbench way of creating the geometry in 2D but i am not able to generate mesh for my case if anybody have tryed such case please sugest me how to make this geometry for Fluent analysis.AFM projec.JPG

Thanks

Maybe you can get some information from the example of document , that is Chapter 8: Using the Discrete Ordinates Radiation Model '. The 2D geometry also includes an obstruction.

oj.bulmer will become famous soon enough
Decompose the geometry into several rectangles, such that the lines of obstruction wall and pipe wall become one of the lines of adjacent rectangles. Now you can mesh it and name the lines as obstruction wall etc. When you import it, FLUENT should automatically consider these as walls. If not, then define them as such in boundary conditions.
