Hi

I need to use the mach number in further defining the total pressure for compressible flow modeling through UDF. How can I track the mach number?
Is there any macro? or Do I need to define explicitly by UDF?

Thank you

Hello Mve,

Did you find any solution to your problem ?
I'm trying to use F_MACH(f,t) and SV_MACH without any succes so far. Is there any trick to access the mach number at faces ?

Aurélien

Hi Aurelien

Based on the BC, I have calculated Mach number and then inserted in total temperature equation. This total temperature is then fed in BC panel. I have not used any UDF.

I believe the face values of Mach number are stored in temporary memory, hence could not be retrieved. You need to do linear interpolation to have face values. Is that clear?

Best wishes
