why the average Nusselt number is less than 1 when the plate is partially heating???

Hi,
i am using Fluent 6.3: when the plate or wall is heating partially,the average nusselt number value was less than 1 (case of simualtion of the natural convection between a solid wall and a fluid)!!!! can we compute it through a custom function???if yes give me some help please all the best

Have you checked the reference values you are using (Reference length).
